Our History

Bay Area Goodtime DJ’s is more than a name; it's a legacy of entertainment that spans over four decades. We were one of the first four mobile DJ companies in the Bay Area, paving the way for the mobile entertainment industry in Northern California.

Founded by DJ Mark Hester Power in 1978, our journey began under the name Marin Mobile Disco. With his passion for music and keen sense of the evolving entertainment landscape, Mark set out to bring the best wedding DJ services to Sacramento.

As the demand for our services grew in the 1980s, so did our vision. We rebranded as Marin Mobile Music Co., reflecting our expanded offerings and commitment to delivering exceptional music experiences. With this new identity, we began training and adding more DJs to our team, allowing us to serve a wider audience. Our growth didn't stop there. As we continued to expand our reach and refine our services, we evolved into what is now known as Goodtime DJ’s & Karaoke.

Today, we proudly serve the entire Bay Area with a team of four in-house DJs, each trained under Mark's expert guidance, along with three independent DJs who frequently collaborate with us. Together, we bring a wealth of experience, talent, and energy to every event we are a part of.
